The death vocals on this album are some of the best of this style that I’ve heard. The music seems more influenced by older metal styles than current death-doom, even the blackened aspect, which is actually very compelling once you get past genre expectations. This record snuck up on me the same way the last one did, and left me ultimately quite impressed. The last half of the album is the strongest, which is rare in my experience. Mort’s solo is great stuff.

Hallucinatory and heavenly! Listening to this I am reminded of the very first tab of acid I had ever dropped. The sounds envelop the listener in new unexpected ways and provide transportation to an alien yet oddly familiar world. Just like that first trip, I had thought I knew what to expect but 40 minutes later, the experience was far beyond anything I could have imagined. Likewise, the description of this album cannot do justice to astonishing musical work that awaits the listener.
